Obituary for Robert J Hoch, Sr.

Titusville, NJ
Robert James Hoch, Sr., passed away suddenly on Monday less than 100 yards from the farm house where he was born, on the farm where he was the third generation farmer, doing what he enjoyed doing; farming. Bob raised pheasants for forty years and was affectionately known as The Pheasant King. He raised his family on the river in Titusville and was the Commodore of the Titusville Boat and Ski Club.

Bob worked for the Niederer family at the Egomatic factory and retired after 30 years as the plant manager of Union Rubber in Trenton. He was an electrical technician with the NJ Air National Guard when he was called up to the Air Force in 1960 and deployed to Europe to support the Berlin Crisis.

He was an avid deer and pheasant hunter, and a prolific and epic storyteller - leaving everyone smiling and laughing - holding court wherever he happened to be.
He was a member of The Pennington Grange, 25 year president of The Canoe Mountain Gun Club, and a member of the Pleasant Valley Vigilant Association. Bob was also a member of the Hopewell Valley Veterans Association and a fixture at the Titusville Fourth of July parade.

Son of the late Grant Hoch and Rose Doyle Hoch, brother of the late Herbert Grant and Catherine Hoch, and a brother, Ronald Hoch. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Delores Jones Hoch, a son Robert James Hoch, Jr, a daughter Leslie Cybulski, son in law Scott Cybulski, and his cherished grand daughter Liesel Cybulski.

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 6th 10:00 a.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington. The viewing will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home. Condolences are welcome at www.wilsonapple.com.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made the American Heart Association, 13 Sun Flower Ave., Paramus, NJ 07652.
